Laura and Marlena laugh and hope flashing of the eyes as she discusses the night.

Marlena: What I am not going to marry… (Marlena gets cut off as she sees John Black the most handsome man in the world to her walk past)
Hope: Marlena earth to Marlena.
Marlena: As I was saying I am not having sex with Roman and just for him telling Bo that he won’t get any, any time soon. I have to go I will call you later I promise.
(Marlena hurries to grab her books and try and find John.)
As Marlena is walking she gets pull down an aisle in the far back corner with a kiss that is to die for.

Roman looked at Marlena strangely as they made their way down the hallway. She felt bad about her little fantasy but she knew it was nothing she loved Roman…John was just a little crush it’ll pass.

Roman: What are you talking about.
Marlena: I’m not having sex with you and after that…don’t expect it.
Roman pulled Marlena over next to their lockers.

Marlena: Omg…you actually expect me to believe that…just call or whatever when you get home I really need to go.

Marlena still leaned against the lockers watched Roman walk to class.
But little did Marlena know someone was watching her and Roman’s little talk making notes.
Marlena walked towards the class room that her and Roman have together and looked inside at Roman talking to Bo and Peter.
Marlena: He just cannot keep his mouth closed. (She walks in and does not say anything)
Roman: What is wrong with you? Do not make the guys think that we are fighting we are the best thing that ever happened at Kennedy High. You know we have what this class is Chemistry.
Marlena: What…. Have you lost your mind I will lower my voice for class but I think it is time for us to see about the future of our relationship.
Roman rubs her arm
Roman: Yeah our future that is what we need to discuss. (As he licks his lips of lust)
Feed up with Roman showing off Marlena raises her hand.
Marlena: Can I please get a pass to the library. I really am through with this subject right now. (Given Roman a look that would run anyone’s blood cold.)
Marlena walks to get the pass and instead of going to the library. She heads to the football field.
As Marlena is walking towards the field she decided to sit in the bleachers as she is walking to find a seat she see John Black running laps. Marlena is watching as he stops and takes his shirt off. She was in such a daze that she did not notice John watching her watch him and he coming towards her. He runs up too her.
John: Hello (He gives her that killer smile and Hazel locks with Blue for the first time.)
Marlena: Oh I am so sorry. (A little embarrassed for letting him catch her stare.) Hi
John: Did you like what you were seeing you were staring pretty hard.
Marlena turns red
Marlena: I am sorry I was not really looking. I have a lot of things on my mind.
John: It is cool. I am so rude I am John Black
Marlena: Of course, I am (John cuts her off)
John: You are Marlena Evans.
Marlena: Yes I am
John: Well now that we know each other names do not be a stranger when you see me. Miss Marlena Evans. (John winks his eye and runs off to finish his laps)
Marlena is left smiling only thinking about John Black.
Marlena stood there for a brief moment thinking about what just happened when she saw Roman come up the bleachers. Marlena rolled her eyes and started to walk down the other side when Roman grabbed her shoulder…
Roman: The library my ass…what are you doing out here?
Marlena: I just needed some time alone, do you have to be breathing down my back all the time!
Roman: Ok I am sorry. I just want to make sure that you are safe. I want to take care of my number one girl. (Marlena rolls her eyes) I was just gonna let you know there has been a slight schedule change for tonight.
Marlena: Okay? What do you have in mind?
Roman: I know it’s our anniversary and all but I wanted to have some friends up…will that bother you?
(Marlena taking in a sigh of relief that she didn’t have to be alone with him.)
Marlena: That’s okay…who’s coming?
They started to walk back towards this entrance on the high school as Roman was naming off the people who would be over.
Roman: Bo…Abe…John…Peter and (As Marlena interrupts.)
Marlena: John? Why is John gonna be there? I did not know that you two were really good friends.
Roman: I know but he is a excellent runner and and we need him on the football team this fall. If you don’t want him to come it’s okay… I mean If it will be weird or something.
Marlena: That’s not what I said Roman…It’s just you all were not that close, but we do what can for our team don’t we.
Roman: We have always been friends. Best Friends when we were younger but when his parents got a divorce we went into a different direction. I mean I am popular and handsome and dating the most popular girl and he is not. So will you help me. (Roman slaps Marlena on the butt)
Marlena: Sure (She gives Roman a peak on the cheek)
(“Great!” Marlena thought to herself as they walked inside.)
Marlena is getting ready to go the Roman house for the party. She decided to wear the tightest black dress in her closet. She put on the makeup that would make a man go weak at the knees. Not for Roman only to impress John. Marlena sat on her bed wondering what he would say when he sees her.
Marlena: (Taps John on the shoulder) Hey Sailor are you having a good time?
John looks Marlena up and down and does not say anything.
Marlena: Take a picture it will last longer
John: (In a low raspy voice) I am
Marlena: What
John: Nothing. Wow you look great. Happy Anniversary. I know this is not very Romantic but I want to tell you anyway.
Marlena: Oh but this is romantic to Roman (speaking sarcastically) me and all my friends and his friends.
John: If this was our anniversary. I would not want to share you with anyone else. (John begin stepping closer)
Marlena: (Steps closer to John) What would you do?
Marlena is whispering in John ear sending chills down her body.
John: (Whispers in her ear) I would have dinners and candle lights. On the beach and we would dance and I shower with praise. With this…. (John leans his face towards Marlena)
*Honk* *Honk* *Honk* *Honk* *Honk*
Roman: Hurry up Baby we are going to be later. Move it
Marlena: Damn you Roman. Just when it gets good. I will move alright. Move on from you.
Marlena grabs her purse and walks out the door. To put a plan in action.
Marlena was sitting in the kitchen as their friends came in at different times…Hope finally got there so she would have someone to talk to…Roman on the other had was in the living room with his friends. To Marlena time was moving so slowly, mainly because John hadn’t showed up yet…it had been at least an hour from the time the party started so she followed Hope into the living room to join everyone else. She sat down beside Roman, he put his arm around her…she almost wanted to pull away but they we in front of everyone, and she wouldn’t embarrass him. Then things brightened up a little…John pulled in. She watched him as he came in and said hello to everyone including her and sat down in front of her, “Oh that’s just great.” She thought to herself, “Now I’ll never keep my eyes off him.” The only people there were Abe & Lexie…Bo & Hope…Roman & Marlena and John. Although it seemed as if it where only her and John there, they all stayed in the living room and talked. Marlena who had her head on Roman’s shoulder looked up to see John looking at her, he smiled and she gave him a smile back. She was afraid to talk to him thinking she might say something flirtatious and Roman would get mad. But she had to say something. While Roman and everybody else talked amongst them selves Marlena excused herself and walked out onto the front porch to sit down for a moment. John noticed how she was acting…she was quiet and looking a little depressed.
John: Hey Roman…I’m gonna go get my wallet from the car I think I left it in there.
John really walked outside to sit with Marlena.
John: Hey.
Marlena: OMG…John you scared me to death.
John: I’m sorry…didn’t mean to. (He said as he put his hand on her back as she leaned against the banister.)
John: Umm…Happy Anniversary. (Marlena smiled and rolled her eyes.)
Marlena: Some Anniversary, huh?
John: I’m sorry Marlena…Roman doesn’t treat you the way you should be treated.
Marlena: Thank you…and no…he doesn’t.
John: It’s a beautiful night…the stars are so clear.
Marlena: Yeah…it’s so nice out here.
John: Do you know how beautiful you are?
(Marlena blushed a little and smiled at John.)
Marlena: Thank you.
John took his arm that was around Marlena’s back and pulled her a little closer to his side.
Marlena: It’s getting a little chilly out here.
John: I think it feels good…now.
John looked at Marlena and pulled her close to him wrapping his arms around her and rubbing her back with his hand, she just looked up at him as if it where completly natural and laid her head on his chest.
John: You don’t need him sweetie.
Marlena: I know…but we can’t do this.
Marlena pulled away from him as she heard someone coming outside.
Roman: Hey…what are you all doing out here?
Marlena: I was asking John if he was gonna play football this year.
Roman: Are you John…we really need you on the team.
John: I have put it to some thought…I’ll let you know though.
Roman: Well you all come inside were about to watch a movie.
Marlena: I’ll be in, in a minute.
(Roman walked over to Marlena and put his arm around her and kissed her on the cheek…and walked inside.)
John let Roman walk inside before he did and Marlena caught him right before he walked inside.
Marlena: John…please don’t…
(John cut her off.)
John: I will not say anything…take my word.
Marlena just smiled at him as he winked at her and walked inside…
Everyone is sitting down watching the movie every couple is together and John took the only place left to sit right by Marlena. He knew she would be uncomfortable so he never looked at her. As the movie continued Roman keep trying to touch Marlena and she keep fighting him off. He got tired of her fighting him off and moved up on the couch, leaving Marlena and John down on the floor. Roman and everybody else fell asleep, the only ones that were awake were John and Marlena.
John: Marlena
Marlena: Shh, Come on we can talk in the kitchen.
Marlena looks at Roman to make sure that he is really sleep.
Marlena: So what do you want to talk about?
John: Do you love him?
Marlena: What type of question is that? I mean I guess I love him. That is what a good girlfriend does love her man.
John: Then you need a better man.
Marlena is getting upset because John is judging her.
Marlena: What do you know about our relationship we are good together.
John: What do I know, I here him talking to Bo and Abe about how is trying to hit that ass.
Marlena: Well maybe he can hit this ass.
John: Damn Marlena, he should not be trying to hit that ass. He should be making (He steps closer) love to you.
Marlena: What do you know about love? I mean you have no one around you. Girls throw themselves at you.
John: Yeah they throw themselves at me, but the one that I want, she does not want me.
Marlena: Have you tried to talk to here?
John: No, but I watch her from a far.
Marlena: What do you like about this girl?
Marlena is getting a little jealous of this young lady because John likes her and not her.
John: Well where do I start. She is just gorgeous. When she walks in the room it lights up with joy. Her eyes are the most beautiful pair of hazel eyes that I have ever seen.
Marlena: Go on
John: Her smile, oh her smile is like magic I get lost in it.
Marlena: Get to the good stuff. I know you got to like her body.
John: Her body well I am sorry for saying this in front of you, but it is banging. I mean she has a great body but I like her for her mind and the way see treats people not her body.
Marlena looks shocked at his response.

Marlena: I promise ( becoming a little flustered over the closeness)

Marlena looks shocked
John: Marlena you are too good to be true. I really want to do this before you say anything.
Marlena shakes her head ok. Hazel lock with blue and John grabs Marlena and kisses her with all the passion that he has.
John continued to passionately kiss Marlena…his hands started to roam her body…Marlena let him, she knew there was something about him…something that she had never experienced with another guy…even Roman…like she could even compare John with him. Marlena pulled out of the kiss and stepped out of his arms. John looked at her surprisingly.
John: What is it baby?
Marlena: Do you really feel that way about me John?
John: Yes…Marlena I’m not lying.
Marlena: How long have you felt this way about me?
John: As long as I can remember.
John wrapped his arms around Marlena this time it was a little more comfortable for her…although she did feel that she was doing Roman wrong.

John: He doesn’t have to know.
Marlena: Please say you mean that…don’t tell a soul.
John: I wouldn’t do that to you…I care about you Marlena. But if you “love” Roman as much as you put on why did you just kiss me?
Marlena: I do love him…just not like I used to. Everything was great for us then it went way down hill.
John: Why are you still with him?

John: See that’s why I like you so much…you have a huge heart. That’s something Roman doesn’t pay any attention to.
Marlena: He is not that awful to me! He just gets on my nerves. A lot.
John: Marlena…why don’t you see it…he loves you for your body and doesn’t care about anything else. And once you have sex with him…he will leave you.
Marlena: I’m not going to have sex with him! The person that I give my first time too. I want to be in love with him.
John: Okay… That is good to know. Rubbing her arm and looking into her eyes.
John stopped when he saw Marlena looking behind him. He turned around to see Roman standing there rubbing his eyes and trying to completely wake up…to much of their relief he hadn’t heard what had been said.
Roman: Marlena…baby lets go on up to my bedroom and lay down.
Marlena: Okay…John…I was nice talking to you.
John: You too.
Roman put his arm around Marlena leading her up the stairs, she glanced back looking at John…he winked at her and she went on to bed…
When she heard John car pull off she stops Roman before they go up the stairs.
Marlena: Roman stop I think I should go home.
Roman: But Baby I thought we were going to.
Marlena: Good night Roman.
Walking down the steps and waves bye.
That night Marlena was lying in her bed thinking about how she is going to handle the John situation. As she was lying there her cell phone begins to ring. She jumps out of bed to try and find it. When she finds it is a number that she does not know. She picks it up anyway.
Marlena: Hello
John: Hey there (Marlena smiles as she hears the voice)
Marlena: Hey you what is up?
John: I hope I was not bothering you I just could not stop thinking about you. I just wanted to hear your voice.
Marlena: Believe it or not I was thinking about you too. John (she takes a deep breath) What are we going to do?
John: What do you mean what are we going to do?
Marlena: I mean I can not take back the kiss. I mean I feel bad that I did it, but I want to do it again.
John: Well let’s do it again. I know you are afraid but I would do anything just to be with you.
Marlena: I do not want to hurt Roman or hurt you.
John: Marlena you will never hurt me. I rather have some of you then none of you, right now. We will just have to be careful.
Marlena: Would you do that. I mean that means that you have to share me; But I promise you that I want to see where this relationship can go. I just do not want to hurt him.
John: Ok so here is the plan you will stay with Roman because that is what they expect in school. I will just be the best friend that has come into your life. That we occasionally make out. (Makes kisses noises in the phone)
Marlena: (Laughing) I want you to be my friend and so much more. Maybe we can do more then make out.
John: In due time I will be more and do more but right now, I want to make you feel as special as you really are.
Marlena: I really do not deserve you.
John: No you deserve me and more. Good night Marlena. I will see in my dream Princess.
John: Good night John.

Marlena: Will I see you this weekend or will I have to wait for school?
John: Yes I will make sure that I see you this weekend. Now go to bed. Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our lives.

They both hang up and begin sleep peacefully holding each other in their dreams.
That next morning Marlena woke up thinking about John and their conversation on the phone last night. She really missed him. She started daydreaming about yesterday and their amazing kiss…when the sound of the phone snapped her back into reality.
Marlena: Hello?
Roman: Hey.
(Oh…this should be fun…she thought to herself.)
Roman: I was just wondering if we could spend the day together…since we really didn’t talk much yesterday.
Marlena: Yeah…I guess.
Roman: Can I come over.
Marlena: Yeah…just give me a few minutes, I just woke up.
Roman: Okay…I love you.
Marlena: Okay bye.
(Marlena hung up the phone fast she didn’t want to lead Roman on…she did cared for him but wouldn’t call it a love.)
About half and hour later Roman pulled into the driveway. Marlena walked down stairs…he exchanged “ hello’s” with her parents and they walked back up to her room. They laid on the bed and watched a movie. When the phone wrung. Marlena wasn’t thinking strait.
Marlena: Roman…could you hand that to me?
Roman: Yeah. Marlena!
Marlena: What.
Roman: This is John’s number…why the hell is he calling you!
Marlena: I don’t know…hand me the phone.
Roman answered. Marlena’s stomach dropped she was almost sick just hopeing John wouldn’t say anything…hopefully he would cover for her. She looked over at Roman and he didn’t look mad anymore…she started feeling better. Then he hung up the phone.
Marlena: What did he want?
Roman: To ask me about tryouts…he said he couldn’t reach me at my house so he figured I’d be here.
Marlena: See…he wasn’t even calling for me!
(Marlena was so relieved that John didn’t say anything…she knew why he was calling and it wasn’t for tryouts.)
Roman: I’m sorry.
Marlena: It’s okay.
Roman leaned in to kiss Marlena and she kinda pulled away.
Roman: What was that for?
Marlena: Not in the mood.
Roman: Yeah…I know you’re never in the mood…for anything!
Marlena: I’m sorry…you don’t have to get all mad.
Roman: Then let me kiss you.
Marlena let Roman kiss her even though it was the WORST thing she could even bare to do. Then he started unbuttoning her top.
Marlena: Roman!
Roman: What?
Marlena: Stop…why don’t you understand that?
Roman: Because we have been dating for a year and you barely let me hold your hand.
Marlena: So.
Marlena just rolled her eyes…why did she let him come over…why didn’t she call John.
Marlena finally got rid of Roman but not without a fight. He begged and pleaded and then he finally left with a huff and puff. Marlena was sitting watching a movie in her pajamas really wishing that John would call back she could not wait till Monday to talk to him or see him. When she was about to dose off her phone rang she looked at the caller id and the biggest smile came across her face.
Marlena: Hey you.
John: Hey pretty lady
Marlena: How did you know that I really needed to talk to you.
John: Well I had to call you after Roman left. I did not want to look suspicious calling you again.
Marlena: I am so sorry about that I really wish you would have called first I had a horrible time with him.
John: Well how about I change your bad day into a good night.
Marlena: What do have in mind?
John: Come outside and see.
Marlena: Now I am in my fuzzy PJ
John: That is perfect come on.
Marlena: Ok give me a minute.
Marlena runs upstairs and changes into her sexy cotton pajamas from Victoria Secret.
John sees Marlena and his heart melts. He knew something was happening but did not want to get ahead of his self.
Marlena: Are you ok?
John: Yeah I am fine I just really am glad to see you. Come here.
He gives her the passionate kiss of her life.
Marlena: Wow… What is that for?
John: Just being you.
Marlena: Well I love being me. So where are we going holding her arm around John’s neck.
John kisses her.
John: I think we should get to know each other. So I have set something up just for the two of us. Are you game?
Marlena: I trust you. Let’s go.
She runs to get in the car but John stops her and opens the door for her.
John: You are a princess so you should be treated like one. Your surprise awaits.
Marlena: Well thank you. I cannot wait for my surprise.
John: I cannot wait to give it to you.
John winks his eye, and they are off. To a night of great adventure.
Marlena: John…what are we doing at the pier? I’m in my pajamas.
John: It’s your surprise and you look so sexy in your pajamas.
John parked his car opened Marlena door for her and they walked down to the docks. Marlena looked over at John with a huge smile on her face.
Marlena: Were going on a boat!
John: Yeah…do you like it.
Marlena: Omg…John this is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me.
John helped Marlena on the small boat, she sat down on one of the seats in the front of the boat while John joined her. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her on top of the head.
John: Do you want anything to eat…because I got some strawberries and whip cream just in case?
(Marlena smiled at John and put her arms around his neck giving him a long passionate kiss.)
Marlena: Strawberries and whip cream are my favorite.
John picked up a strawberry dipped it in whip cream bringing it to Marlena’s lips. He rubbed it all around her lips then let her bite it. Then he leaned in and licked off the whip cream. Marlena did the same to him, then she laid her head on his shoulder. John saw she was cold so he took off his jacket wrapped it around her and pulled her onto his lap so he could hold her.
Marlena: This has been the best night ever John.
John: Marlena…if I say something and you don’t feel the same way you don’t have to say it back…okay?
Marlena: Okay.
John lifted Marlena’s head off his shoulder so she could look him in the eyes.
John: I love you Marlena.
Tears began to form in Marlena’s eyes, she leaned in giving John a peck on the lips and looked him in the eyes.
Marlena: I love you too John.
Marlena snuggled up closer to John and he wrapped his arms tighter around her, making her feel more secure. Then John pulled Marlena into another kiss this time she laid back on the seats of the boat pulling John down on top of her. His hands roamed all over her as she moaned in approval. He pulled his jacket off her as she pulled his shirt over his head. She was amazed at how beautiful his body was…how defined his muscles were. John began kissing Marlena’s neck down to her collarbone. Although her body wanted to Marlena knew she couldn’t so she pushed him away.
John: What’s wrong baby?
Marlena: I can’t…at least not right now. Are you mad at me?
John: No baby…I’m not mad at you…I understand. We just got a little carried away.
Marlena: I’m sorry.
John: It’s okay Marlena…don’t worry about it…okay.
Marlena: okay.
John: Well we better get you back home before your parents kill me.
Marlena: Okay…John…I had a great time tonight.

Marlena walked inside her house giving John one last wave before she closed the door. She walked up to her bedroom and laid down on her bed thinking about what had happened…why did she stop?
The next day at school was so boring for Marlena. She had the big secret that she wanted to shout to the world but could not tell anybody. Right when she thought maybe she can get things off her mind, an unwanted visitor comes her way.
Roman: Hey Baby.. (Given her one of the nastiest kisses)
Marlena: Hey Roman. What is up?
Roman: I called you last night and your parents said that you went for a walk?
Marlena: I had a lot of things on my mind. I needed to clear my head.
Roman: I know a way that you can clear your head and it will feel so good.
Marlena: Roman you are… Not the person I want to talk to right now. Goodbye
Roman: What, What did I do?
Marlena: Nothing Roman just be you. ( She said under her breathe)
As Marlena was walking back towards her locker she saw something sticking out. She ran to see what is was. It was a single lilac and a note. It read:
Marlena I cannot stop thinking about last night. You are truly the one for me. I do not want to have sex with you I want to make love. I do not want to hear about your dreams I want to live them with. I hope you will let me.

Marlena: Do not laugh when I tell you this.
John: What you want to work for the circus.
Marlena and John are now laughing.
Marlena: No silly I want to be a psychologist. I want to someday be Dr. Marlena Evans.
John: That is not silly at all. You are going to be Dr. Marlena Evans-Black my Doc. You are going to be my Doc.
Marlena: I love the Black.
John: That is because I love you Doc.
With that nothing else was needed to be said at the moment. John looked at Marlena and begins reading to her Romeo and Juliet. The story of star crossed lovers.
It’s been about 3 months since John and Marlena started the little affair. Roman is still dumb to the situation of course. John is now on the football team and Marlena is a cheerleader. They would make the cutest couple if only they could let people know how much they love each other. The football game they were at was over and Marlena went up next to the field house to congratulate the players on their win when they came out. Roman came out first he hugged and kissed Marlena and she told him what a good job he did.
Marlena: Will you drive me home?
Roman: Umm…we were going all go to Bo’s afterwards to celebrate.
Marlena: I really don’t want to go…I’ll just catch a ride with someone else.

Marlena wouldn’t have said it if all his friends weren’t around. She watched him walk in to the parking lot and get into Bo’s car with a couple other players and their girlfriends. She waited hopeing John would come out.

Marlena: Well Roman went to Bo’s to celebrate the homecoming win and I don’t have a ride home…can you take me?
John: I was going to go to the party too…but I would much rather be with you.
Marlena: I love you.
John: I love you too Doc.
(John said as he leaned in giving Marlena kiss to die for.)
They got in his car but he wasn’t taking Marlena home.
Marlena: Baby, where are we going?
John: Surprise.
Marlena: I just love your surprises.
They pulled up into a driveway of a beautiful cabin in deep in the woods and went inside.
Marlena: This is gorgeous John but where are we.
John: This is my families get away vacation home.
John sat down as Marlena changed out of her cheer uniform and into some silky pj’s and came back down stairs. She sat down on his lap they exchanged a few kisses and he went to get their favorite, strawberries and whip cream. Marlena and John enjoyed their dessert, when they got finished eating John turned off all the lights and lit the fireplace, laying a blanket for them down in front of it to lay on. John pulled Marlena on top of him and for the second time they make love.
It was Monday…Marlena had thought about it all weekend and she knew who she was going to choose, she knew she wanted to be with John she loved him like no other. Roman stormed out of the library. John came in not long after he left.
John: What’s wrong.
Marlena: I broke up with Roman…he didn’t take it well John.
John: He will be fine…I promise.
John gave Marlena a kiss on the head and hugged her as they walked out of the library, when Marlena stopped right before they walked out.
Marlena: John I don’t think we should let Roman see us just yet…I mean don’t take it wrong, I love you and I want everyone to know I just don’t think this is the time.
John: It’s okay…I understand.
Marlena: Hey baby I was hoping you could come over tonight…please?
John: What time?
Marlena: Anytime you want, my parents are going to be gone all night.
John: I’ll be there.

Marlena was home when John pulled in she met him at the door wrapping her arms around him giving him a huge hug and kiss. They sat down on the couch and snuggled up watching a movie until late that night. Unnoticed to them Roman had just pulled up in the drive way he saw the lights on and Marlena’s parents were gone he figured it was the perfect time to talk to her. He walked up on their porch and opened the door, which was unlocked…
Roman is walking into the living room calling Marlena names but as he was about to call her name he heard a moan. Thinking that Marlena was hurt he ran in.

John heard Marlena crying and he turned around to check on her as he did Roman came up from behind and hit him in the head. John was caught off guard. As Roman ran towards Marlena. Marlena began to scream.
Marlena: Roman what is wrong with you? You may have hurt him.
Roman: Hurt, Hurt him. You hurt me. I love you. I will forgive you. I am so glad I caught you before you gave him your first time baby.
Running over to try and give her a hug but Marlena ran away.
Marlena: Roman no I do not want you anymore. (Roman becomes stricken with grief.) I love John and I gave him my first time. I wanted too Roman. I want us still to be friends. But I never wanted to be with you like that. I did with John.
Roman was becoming very upset. By this time John walked back over to Marlena.
Roman: Friends just friends. I do not want to be your friend. I want nothing to do with you. You whore.
John grabbed Roman and walked him towards the door.
John: Never come back here you will never talk to her like that.
When John walked back in he heard Marlena crying.
John: Baby don’t cry.

John picks Marlena up and runs up the stairs to her room.
What they did not know was that Roman is still there.

Marlena walked to the door with John to give him a kiss and a hug goodbye.
John: Are you sure everything is okay?
Marlena: John I’m fine.
John: I didn’t mean to upset you earlier baby, I’m sorry.

John: I’ll call you when I get home, I love you.
Marlena: I love you too.
John gave her one more kiss and was gone. Marlena went and sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. Roman on the other hand had never left. Making sure John was gone he opened the back door and helped himself inside.
Roman: Marlena.
Marlena: OMG, you scared me what are you doing here!
Roman: We need to talk.
Marlena: How did you get in!
Roman: That doesn’t matter now!
Roman sat down on the couch and put his arm around Marlena, she tired to get up but Roman pulled her back down.
Roman: Will you listen to me for one minute!
Marlena: Okay.
Roman: I love you so much, why did you do that to me!
Marlena: Roman, you know the last thing I wanted to do was hurt you. But you don’t understand we were never in love Roman!
Roman: Yes we were!
Marlena: I’m not arguing with you so just shut up! You loved because you thought you could get in my pants! John loves me for me and I love him too. So Roman please just leave we have nothing else to talk about.
Roman: Oh we have things to talk about Marlena, why did you just give to him we dated for a year.
Marlena: It doesn’t matter how long I dated you Roman I never loved you!
Marlena saying that angered Roman. He picked her up and started to carry her upstairs.
Marlena: Roman! What are you doing! Let me down!
Roman: Shut up Marlena!!
Marlena started crying, she knew what was about to happen she started screaming hoping somebody would hear her. She tired to kick and punch him but it wasn’t working he took her in her room and threw down on the bed shutting and locking the door. Just then John called Marlena hurried and reached for the phone and picked it up. “ John!”…as soon as she said that Roman jerked the phone out of the wall. “Do you actually think John is gonna come to your rescue this time?” Roman pinned Marlena on the bed and raped her. After it was all over with Marlena was crying hysterically Roman began to leave.
Roman: You better not tell a soul Marlena, I’m warning you!
Marlena: Just leave!!
Roman left, and Marlena got off the bed and began putting her clothes back on she sat at he edge of the bed, she didn’t know really what to do. She wanted to call John and tell him everything that happened so he could kick Roman ass. But after that threat Roman made she didn’t know what to do…
Marlena is crying and cannot stop. John came back to the house because she did not answer the phone and he became scared. When he entered the house he went to the kitchen and saw the back door open but no Marlena. He began to run through the house screaming her name. When he reached her bedroom he became quiet. He looked around and saw everything everywhere. He heard her crying in the bathroom.
John: Marlena (he saw her face and ran to her)
Marlena did not see who it was and freaked out.
Marlena: Stay away from me I am going to tell John and you never hurt me again Roman.
Marlena is screaming and fighting John off thinking that it is Roman.
John: Baby look at me look at me. It is me Marlena baby please.
Marlena looks at John and run in his arm crying John cuddles her like a baby.
John: Ssh…. Baby I am here and I will not let Roman hurt you again.
After about 20 minutes Marlena calmed down a little but was still pretty shook up.
John: Baby calm down what happen. I need to know what happen for I can help you.
Marlena: Well after you left. I went into the living room to watch some TV and Roman was there.
John: How did he get in?
Marlena: He came through the back door. He started talking about how he loved me and how I was with him a year and never had sex with him but I gave myself to you. Then he grabbed me and took me to my room. When you were calling I was trying to grab the phone (She is beginning to cry again) He pinned me against the wall and raped me. I tried to fight him off I swear John I did.
John: That Son of a Bitch I am going to kill him.
Marlena: Please John not yet I need to go the hospital. I want to press charges against Roman. I want him to pay.
John: ok baby come on I am going to take you. I am going to grab you some clothes because you are not coming back here until your parents get home.
John took Marlena to the hospital while they did all the work and the police came to file the paper work against Roman. Marlena was still really quite on the drive to John’s house.
John: Baby are you sure that you are ok.
Marlena: I am fine I promise I really am. I am just. I am scared John.
John: There is nothing to be scared about. You love me don’t you? (John started to tickle Marlena to make her smile)
Marlena: I love you withl all my heart and then some.
John: And I love you. And by me loving you. I will do all I can to not see you hurt.
Marlena: Ok Thank you I do not know what I would do with out you.
John pulled into his house. Marlena knew John family had money but he lived in a castle. John called his mother and told her what happen.
John: Mom were here.
Isabella: Hi honey.
Marlena: Hi Mrs. Black. I am Marlena Evans
Isabella: I know who you are my son cannot stop talking about you. So I know that you are the one.
Marlena: I really hope so.
Isabella: Well I have a room ready for you upstairs it is next to John’s room, but I will be watching.

Marlena: John I really do not want to go to sleep, can we stay in the den you find a movie and I will be right back.

John came back in the Den and saw Marlena sleep. But instead of putting her to bed John picked her up and cuddled her all night so that she would know that she was safe.
John tired to talk her out of going but Marlena wanted to go to school the next day anyway. They were sitting on the steps outside in front of the school talking before class started. John saw Roman walking up the steps as bad as he wanted to kill him right there Marlena had asked him not to do anything just to leave it up to the police. She didn’t want Roman to file an assault charge on John either. Roman walked by them looked up at Marlena like nothing had happened, which made her sick at her stomach. He sat down a couple steps In front of them. Marlena went inside to get a drink out of the vending machines before school started and when she came back out the police were talking to Roman.
Marlena: John are they going to do it here?
(Marlena said in a slight whisper as the hugged John’s side.)
John: I think so.
Neither John nor Marlena could hear what the police were saying to him. But they handcuffed him and led him to the back seat of the police car. When he was about to sit down he looked up at Marlena giving her a look that would kill. Marlena was glad Bo and Hope were the only one’s outside besides them, she didn’t want the whole high school to know. Marlena began crying.
Marlena: John did you see the look he gave me, if he gets out he will kill me!
John: Marlena baby, I’m not going to let him lay a hand on you much less come near you! I’m not going to let anything happen to you sweetie I love you.
Marlena: I love you too, I just never imagined him ever doing anything like that, I always though he was a jerk but never imagined him as a rapist.
(Marlena started crying again, John held her as close as he could, when the bell rang.)
John: Baby lets not go to class, lets just check out I’ll take you home and we will rest, it’s too much for you today.
Marlena: Okay.
John checked out himself and Marlena so they could have a nice quiet evening at his house…
Marlena went to school the next day after Roman had been arrested, she wasn’t sure how people would react to the whole situation. She knew some people would believe her and others would believe Roman. She also didn’t know how her friends much less everyone else in the school who react to her and John. If they didn’t take it well, then the hell with them she loved him and wouldn’t let anyone come in between that. John went that morning and picked Marlena up from her house to take her to school. They waited outside until the bell rang for them to go to their classes.
John: Are you sure you’re okay with this baby?
Marlena: I’m fine, I’m just a little nervous.
John: If you need me at anytime come and get me, okay. I love you Marlena.
Marlena: Okay…I love you too!
John walked her to her first period Chemistry class, they kissed and he was off to Algebra. Marlena walked in and sat down, it was a little weird Roman had always been her Chemistry partner. Marlena heard some giggles from the back of the class room, she turned around and quickly faced the front again, “ Why do people have to be SO immature!” She thought only to herself, she didn’t want to start trouble with them. After her morning classes were over she met John in the cafeteria.
John: Hey…how are you doing?
Marlena: Besides a couple giggles and an ass load of looks…I’m good.
John: I’m sorry.
Marlena: I’ll be fine.
John kissed Marlena on the head as the headed for the lunch table to sit down. Bo and Hope were already sitting there. She didn’t know how they would feel because her and Roman and them had always been really close. Marlena sat down with John, she didn’t talk she just ate her salad. Bo and John walked in the cafeteria to get lunch. Which gave a chance for Marlena and Hope to talk.
Hope: Marlena, don’t think we are mad at you…we’re not.
Marlena: That’s so nice to hear I was afraid you all would be mad at me and wouldn’t believe me.
Hope: I believe and support you all the way, that’s what friends are for so stop thinking things like that, and if being with John makes you happy I say go for it.
Marlena: Hope I love John so much…I’ve never felt this way before.
Hope: I’m glad you’re happy, you defiantly deserve it.
Marlena: Thanks.
After the day was over Marlena went to John’s house for a while before returning home. She was glad, the day had gone better than she expected. Everybody was nice about it, with the exception of a few snotty girls and some of the football team, who she knew, would be on Roman’s side all the way. She knew it would get better in the future.
It has been exactly a month since Roman raped Marlena and it is the talk of the school. No the whole town. The school was split some people believed Marlena others believed Roman. But the evidence was there from the rape kit. Roman was put in jail for 5 years.
John and Marlena were getting along great even Bo, Hope, and Laura had accepted the fact that John and Marlena are in love and are having a get together at John’s house.
John: Hey guys I hope you are having a great time I mean it means a lot to me that you all came.
Bo: Yeah I know it was a hard time at the beginning but I am glad that this ordeal is over and Marlena I am so sorry that I treated you that way.
Marlena: Hey it is cool as long as we are cool now.
(Marlena felt like felt sick to her stomach and a little light headed.)
It did not go unnoticed.
Hope: Mar are you ok.
Marlena: Yeah I am fine I think I just need to go to the bath room.
Everyone took it that Marlena was just sick from the past few weeks of drama. When she did not come back after 5 minutes John went to look 4 her.
John: Marlena are you in here?
Marlena did not say anything. John looked and then heard her crying.
John: Marlena what is wrong? I mean you have been really emotional lately. What is wrong.
Marlena: I am going to tell you something and I pray that you do not leave me.
John: I will never leave you, just tell me.
Marlena: Ok I knew for a week now that I have not been feeling well. Well I guess I am going to have to say it. I am pregnant.
John: You are what.. OMG I am so happy I love you so much I love you so much.
But John noticed that Marlena is not as happy.
John: Oh I am sorry you do not have to have I know that we are young I just thought.
Marlena: No John it is not that I just do not know if it is yours or Roman’s.
John and Marlena are still in the bathroom discussing the news.
Marlena: I’m just afraid you’ll leave me if it’s not yours, I would understand.
John: Marlena baby, don’t talk like that okay. If it’s not my baby then I will love it unconditionally and I will never ever ever leave you, I love you so much.
Marlena: You’re so sweet to me I just love you. But I do want to get a test to make sure who’s it is.
John: That sounds like a good idea, we better go back in there with them, are you okay?
Marlena: I’m fine, just don’t tell anyone.
John: I’m not going to tell baby.
John gave his arm to Marlena helping her out of the bathroom floor.They walked back into the living room and sat down enjoying the get together with their friends.
Hope: Are you okay Marlena?
Marlena: I feel better now, thanks for asking.
John and Marlena snuggled up to each other while they discussed all the latest gossip at school with their friends. Hope made a remark on how happy Marlena was now, it was happiest she had been in a long time.
After everyone left Marlena and John still remained in each other’s arms on the couch. John pulled a pillow into his lap so Marlena could stretch out on the couch and lay her head in his lap.
Marlena: What are we going to do John, I was so worried that you would leave me earlier, I don’t know what I’m going to tell my parents, I mean they aren’t that understanding.
John: We will get through this, I think we should tell my mom first she would take it easier.
Marlena: That’s probably a good idea. Even if it’s not yours which I hope that it is your going to make a wonderful daddy.
John: You think so, I hope so
A week has past and Marlena and John decided that they should break the news to John mother first. Since Marlena parents were out of town and did not know all that had happened within the past month.
Marlena: John I really think that you should tell your mother with out me then I can come in later I am so emotional right now I will
burst out in tears if she disapproves of me having this baby.
John: Marlena it is ok I understand I will talk to her and then I will come get you.
John took Marlena home and went to talk to his mother.
John: Mom are you home? I really need to talk to you.
Isabella: Yeah I am in the family room.
John goes in and is very hesitant about talking to his mother.
John: Mom I really need to talk to you.
Isabella: Ok. I am listening
John: Ok You know how much I love Marlena. I need to know if you really like her.
Isabella: John, I love Marlena she is really good for you and she makes you smile why are you asking me this.
John: Well Mom, how can I say this? You promise not to get mad.
Isabella: John you are making me mad yes! NOW WHAT IS IT.?
John: Mom Marlena is pregnant.
Isabella was quiet for what seemed like forever. John broke the silence.
John: Mom did you hear me.
Isabella: Yes I heard you and I am a little in shock.
John: There is more.
Isabella: Ok I am listening
John: It could be mine or Roman’s
Isabella: What the hell are you talking about?
John: Marlena got pregnant the week that Roman raped her. But regardless the baby is mine.
Isabella: That is a honorable thing to do John but you will you really take care of a baby that is not yours.
John: I will take care of Marlena for the rest of my life. I want to be with her. Roman did something horrible to her. I will not abandon her.
Isabella: Well if you want to do that then I am going to be by your side the whole time. I guess all I can say is that I am going to be a grandmother.
Isabella ran to John and gave him a big hug.
Isabella: Now where is Marlena?
John: She went home she is scared that you may not respect her anymore. You are the first person we told her parents are out of town. She is afraid that they are going to kick her out.
Isabella: Go get her. I want to talk to her.
John goes get Marlena 20 minutes later. John and Marlena walks in.
Isabella: Marlena come here John you too.
John and Marlena walk into the den
Isabella pulls out a box and gives it to Marlena
Isabella: Open this it is a present for my first grandchild.
Marlena opens it and begins to cry. It is a christening outfit for a baby.
Marlena: This is beautiful. Thank you so much.
Marlena and Isabella hugs for a very long time whispering words
of love like a mother and daughter in each other ear.
Isabella: Now you two have to promise me something.
John /Marlena: Anything
Isabella: That you both will finish high school and go to college. I will not have you not finishing school or doing what you want to
do. I have more then enough money to make it happen.
John looks at Marlena
John: We promise we will make this work Mom I promise.
Isabella: Marlena what ever happens with your parents you can stay here. This will be your home.
Marlena: Thank you, You really do not know what this means to me. Marlena is now crying.
This was a great day but John and Marlena both knew that tomorrow when Marlena parents come home it will not be nice.
John tired to get Marlena to spend the night with him but she insisted she go on home. The next morning Marlena woke up to the sound of her parents pulling in the driveway, the thought of telling them made her sick, she knew they wouldn’t understand. She heard them walking down stairs in the kitchen. Although she didn’t want to she figured she would go on and tell them, she wanted to get it over with. Marlena came down stairs and sat down at the bar in her pajamas waiting on them.
Martha: Oh, sweetie we missed you.
Martha said running up to her daughter giving her a hug.
Marlena: I missed you all to, where’s dad?
Martha: He’s up-stairs.
Marlena: Mom…I really need to talk to you.
Martha: What’s wrong.
Marlena: You have to promise that you aren’t going to hate me.
Martha: Okay.
Marlena: Okay…mom…I’m pregnant.
Frank: Omg, what the hell are you talking about!
Marlena: Daddy please don’t be mad at me!
Martha: So…how did Roman’s mother take this!
Marlena began crying.
Marlena: Roman raped me mom!
Martha: Stop making excuses Marlena!
Marlena: I’m not mom he raped me, but…
Martha: But What!

Frank: Now John who?

Martha: Pack your stuff Marlena, we can’t take care of this baby!

Marlena was crying her eyes out as she walked up stairs and packed what she needed for right now. She got in her car and drove to John’s house. When John came out to meet her.
John: Baby, why are you here?
Marlena: They threw me out.
Marlena said as she began crying John wrapped her arms around her and brought her inside.
John: We’ll make it through this baby, are you okay.
Marlena: I’m fine, I love you so much John.
Marlena said hugging up closer to John.
John: I love you too baby…
John walked Marlena in the house. When she got in she was trying to tell John what happened and she just could not stop crying.
John: Baby it is ok. We can handle this.
Marlena: You do not understand, They think that I am lying about Roman. They think that I am some kind of slut that sleeps around. You should have saw the look in my daddy’s eyes. Like I am a failure.
John: You need to not worry about them or what they think. What you need to worry about is your health and our babies health.
Marlena: I like how you say our baby but you do not know that do we.
Marlena looked sad and so John wanted to cheer her up.
John: I want to show you something.
Marlena: What?
John: Come on do you trust me.
Marlena: With all my heart.
John: Well then follow me.
John walks Marlena up the stairs. To a room besides his.
Marlena: John I have seen your room.
John: You have not seen this. I got a new bed.
Marlena: I have seen and been in your bed and I love when I am
underneath you in your bed.
John: Down Girl. No I have a surprise close your eyes.
Marlena closes her eyes and John open the door that leads to the room joined to his.
John: Ok you can open them
Marlena is in shock. John placed a bassinet in the room and in the room next to it began creating a nursery for their baby.
John: So do you like or it is too much.
Marlena still was silent and this began to worry John.
John: Doc I can get rid of it and we…
Before John could finish Marlena pulled him into a powerful kiss.
Marlena: I love you and I love how you love “OUR” baby. This is the best gift that you could have ever given me.
John: The best that you have ever given me is love and not my child. I love you more then anything in this world and I did not think that was possible.
Marlena: Hey sailor. Show me how much you love me.
John: With pleasure.
John picked Marlena up and they began a night filled with passion.
The next morning John awoke with Marlena in his arms, still the same as the night before. He kissed her on top of her head, which woke her too.
John: Good morning beautiful.
Marlena: Good morning.
John: Did you sleep well?
Marlena: Of course I slept well, you wore me out last night baby.
John smiled and kissed Marlena’s cheek and climbed out of bed.
Marlena: Where are you going?
John: We have to go to school today.
Marlena: No, lets go shopping.
John: Shopping?
Marlena: For baby stuff!
John: Marlena we don’t even know what it is yet.
Marlena: We can buy yellow then!
John laughed and got back into bed with Marlena and wrapped his arms around her.
John: You wouldn’t be excited now would you?
Marlena: I was scared…but now I know we will be all right and I know you will be here for me and then I realized I’m having a baby with the love of my life.
John: I can’t wait to be a daddy.
Marlena: and you will make a wonderful daddy! So…can we go shopping?
John: Of course…we can…. I’ll call us in sick from school.
Marlena gave John a quick kiss and got ready. Later that evening they got back home John took their bags upstairs and Marlena sat in the living room with John’s mom.
Isabella: Did you all have a good time?
Marlena: It was great…I’m really excited now.
Isabella: Are you all thinking of any names?
Marlena: We haven’t talked about that yet…but we will soon. Can I ask you something?
Isabella: Of course.
Marlena: How should I talk to my parents?
Isabella: Well…give them a couple days to calm down, then I would go back over if not then…sweetie I really don’t know what to tell you to do.
Marlena: Okay…I might go over tomorrow…I really don’t want them to be mad…I want them to be in their grandchild’s life.
Isabella: I know you do.
Marlena: I guess we will see how it goes from here…
Marlena is now 6 months into her pregnancy. Marlena is now finally showing. She has not talked to her parents in months. John and Marlena are so happy but he see that Marlena not talking to her parents is causing tension especially since he wants to ask a big question to Marlena real soon.
John: Honey… Honey… Marlena… (John screamed the her name and caught her off guard to make her jump)
Marlena: Did you say something John. I am so sorry.
John held her close.
John: I am glad you love me because I would think you are thinking about another man.
Marlena: You are all the man I need (Laughing) Plus who would want me as big as I am getting.
John looked at her. Marlena is still really small she only has a little pouch like she ate to much.
John: Honey you are so beautiful and I love that you are having our baby. Now tell me what is really on your mind.
Marlena: I am just thinking about my parents really. I wish that my mom could be here to see me through this.
John: I understand I wish there was a way that I could help. My mom is really trying but I know that she is not your mother.
Marlena: No do not get me wrong you mother is the best. I love her so much and she is really there for me. I just hate the fact that mother thinks that I am some sort of hoe. She really does not know me at all.
Marlena is now crying and John is trying to calm her down.
John: Baby do not cry I cannot stand it when you cry. I know it is hard and I promise you I will make it better. I will get you some ice cream. (John put on his 100 watt smile.)
Marlena: With Chocolate sauce.
John: With Chocolate sauce. I will be right back. Call me if you need anything I will be right back.
Marlena: Ok I will be here. Hey John
John: Yeah Doc
Marlena: I love you
John: I love you too with all my heart and whatever else is left.
John knew he had to make a stop before he went to the store. He went to the nice country house right outside of town. John gets out the car and begins to knock on the door.
