When A Man Loves A Woman – By Unknown Author

Marlena Black turned over in bed, rolling into her husband’s muscular arms. Her face was close enough to his chest to inhale the sweet smell of his cologne, mixed with sweat from their night of passion only hours before. She opened her hazel eyes and glanced into his baby blues, her heart melting. She felt her breath catch in her throat and felt small water droplets forming in the corner of her eyes. “Hey Sailor,” she whispered, moving up to kiss his slightly swollen lips. A short laugh escaped his lips and she moved back smiling. “What, why are you laughing?”

“I’m just remembering another time you said that to me … a night in a bar if I remember correctly,” John laughed.

Marlena giggled and threw her head into John’s chest. “Oh my God, I seriously think everyone thought we were nuts!”

“Oooh I was nuts baby, about you,” John smiled as she kissed her lips tenderly.

John sat at the bar with an old college friend, sipping a martini. “So how have you been man? Any women?” John asked. Chase Bradshaw had been John’s best friend at one point, up until the final days of college. Chase had been drafted to the marines and finally after years ran into John at Titan’s Gym.

“I’ve been good. And no, no new women. I’m really looking for someone to settle down…” Chase turned his head as the front door to Cheatin Heart opened, a tall blonde walking up to the stool next to them. Her golden hair was tied up into a ponytail, a short back miniskirt plastered to her thighs. A pink tube top clung to her breasts making every curve completely noticeable on her slender body. John gawked at her and smiled nudging Chase in the arm. “Watch this…”

“Hey baby,” John said moving closer to her, as her head turned, a flashy smile shimmering on her lips.

“Hi Sailor,” she winked, taking a sip of her vodka.

“I have a question for you. See, I recently just moved into this brand new house and well, it’s a little messy and I was just wondering if maybe one day you’d like to come over and do my laundry.”

“Hm,” Marlena said raising her eyebrow with a smile. “I actually was looking for a *dirty* job. You know,” she said moving closer to him, “I think your shirt is a little dirty as is… you may need to take it off…”

John pulled Marlena up and lifted her onto the bar, pulling down her tube top just to see enough of her cleavage. He started to kiss her passionately as more than a couple sets of eyes turned towards them. “John,” Chase exclaimed through clenched teeth, “What the hell are you doing? You don’t even know this woman.” Chase watched as John’s hands ran down her slender legs, the outlines of her thong clear to the patrons of the bar. Her soft moans could be heard as John kissed down her neckline, moving down to her breasts, blowing air gently onto her baby soft skin. His lips moved back up to hers as his hands found themselves up the side of her dress, pushing his body up to hers.

“Actually,” John said lifting his head, “This woman is my wife.” Marlena’s laugh sounded throughout the room as her and John continued their rendezvous on the bar.

“What provoked us to do that,” Marlena giggled, her head leaning firmly on John’s chest.

“Hm, I think something about watching When A Man Loves A Woman to many times and something about always wanted to do something as crazy as that. You have to admit, Chase’s face was priceless.”

“So was yours,” Marlena admitted, staring up into his eyes. “When I walked into that bar, your eyes were glued to me darling.”

“What can I say you looked even sexier than Meg Ryan,” John joked.

“And you honey, look sexier than Dennis Quaid.”

“Mar, it was Andy Garcia, not Dennis Quaid.”

“Yeah so they’re married in real life, plus Dennis has a butt to die for.” She noticed the frown on John’s lips and smiled kissing him gently. “Don’t worry John, yours is cuter. Now what do you say we recreate our little bar fantasy, right here, right now,” she whispered rolling on top of him.

“I love you,” he mouthed, kissing her softly.

“I love you too…”
